The Clone feature in Ocusell List™ allows you to use an existing MLS listing as the starting point for creating a new listing. Information from the existing listing is copied into a new listing in Ocusell, helping reduce the amount of information that needs to be entered manually.
This can be useful when creating a listing that shares information with an existing property or listing. See steps below on how to use the Clone function.
Note: Cloning creates a new listing. It does not import or make changes to the original MLS listing.
1. Select Add Listing
From the Listings page in Ocusell List™, select + Add Listing in the upper-right corner of the screen.
2. Select Clone
The Create Listing window will display the available options:
- New – Create a new listing from scratch.
- Clone – Use an existing MLS listing as the starting point for a new listing.
- Import – Bring your existing active, on-market listings from the MLS into Ocusell so they can be managed within Ocusell List™.
Select Clone.
3. Enter the Listing Information
On the Clone page, confirm or select the appropriate:
- Listing Agent
- Member Record
Then, in the Search field, enter the MLS number of the listing you want to clone.
The matching listing will appear below the Search field.
4. Select the Listing
Locate the listing that appears in the search results. Hover over the listing and select it.
Once selected, the listing will be outlined and the Clone Details section will appear below.
5. Choose Whether to Include Photos
Under Clone Details, use the Would you like to include photos? dropdown to choose:
- Yes, include photos.
- No, do not include photos.
6. Select the Property Type
Under MLS #1, the MLS you are cloning the listing to will automatically populate.
Select the appropriate Property Type from the dropdown.
Depending on the property type selected, additional fields may appear. Complete the applicable fields, such as Property Subtype.
7. Submit the Clone
Review your selections and confirm the property information is correct.
Select Submit in the bottom left corner to create the cloned listing.
After submitting, continue reviewing and completing the listing as needed before it is submitted to the MLS.
Clone vs. Import
Although Clone and Import both begin with an existing MLS listing, they serve different purposes.
Use Clone when you want to use information from an existing MLS listing to help create a new listing.
Use Import when you already have an active, on-market listing in Matrix and want to bring that same listing into Ocusell List™ so you can manage it there.
Important: Cloning does not modify the original listing. The cloned listing is a separate listing and should be reviewed carefully before it is published.
